Songwriting for beginners.
$100/1hr session
First of all let me say congratulations on taking the first step in going from “I wish I was a songwriter” to “I am a songwriter”. By taking this step you are already leaps and bounds ahead of me when I got started. Trust me. In this four week program you will learn the basics of songwriting. Each lesson is one-on-one so you can have customized lessons based on your what and why (we’ll get into that later). All you have to know prior to these lessons is a basic knowledge of zoom. No, you do not have to have to get the subscription. The free version is just fine. Each lesson is broken into a one hour session once a week for four weeks. In the first we will cover subject matter and why it matters. In the second week we will cover lyric and melody. The greatest pairing of all time! In the third week we will look at what it means to fine tune your song, and love the re-writing process. In the fourth week we will put finishing touches on YOUR SONG and talk about what you do next! Please note I DON’T take any percentage of your writing share or publishing or master.That should go without saying but I’m gonna say it anyway. There are no such thing as stupid questions, and I promise you are not too young or too old to be taking this course. This is a safe environment to explore what you are capable of. $150/1.5hr session
Being a songwriter means being a perpetual student. If you’re even considering this option to grow your craft then we should be friends. This is a one-time hour and a half session to go over your song, and make any necessary tweaks. We will go over subject matter, lyric and melody, your what and why and even talk about next steps. Since this is more of a co-writing and coaching situation I do take a small writing percentage of 10% unlike the beginner option . 90% of the writing share stays with you and your publishing and your master will remain 100% YOURS (as it should be). Let’s take your song from good to great!
Co-writing Session
$200/song
Want me to write with you for your next project? I’d love to help. Since writers are still not paid their worth due to streaming I charge a low session musician fee. Charging for these sessions helps compensate for what I won’t be making on the back end. These writes usually last about 3hrs.
Songwriting for littles
$50/45min
This class ranges from ages 4-12. If you are a parent and you see your kid has a talent for music and they’ve shown an interest in writing, then this class is for them. I wish I had someone to teach me the basics of songwriting when I was younger. It would have saved a lot of time and trial and error (emphasis on the error). These one-on-one classes can be one time or recurring depending on your little ones needs/dreams. Being a mom myself I’d love to have the opportunity to help your child cultivate their passions.
